I got the opportunity to observe the Chatham Charter elementary lobby for twenty minutes. I chose the elementary lobby so I could learn more about that part of the school since it is my first year here. I always wondered how things worked down there and if it was any different than the high school or my old school, Bennett. Before our class went our separate ways, we estimated how we thought things were going to be. I thought that it would be mostly parents and teachers walking around waiting for their kids to come out and an occasional kid passing by. I tried to remember some details of the room like the wall color and some things that hung about. When I got there and began to observe, I realized a lot was different than I had remembered. Charter runs things a lot differently than Bennett did, and it was a good learning experience.
